Once you have scheduled your intake online, you will receive an automated email welcoming you to Dawning of a New Day Counseling and directing you to click on the ‘Client Portal’ to complete all the beginning documents, including providing the credit card you want to utilize for services. All cards are run the morning of the session. A strict 48 cancellation policy is adhered to. Please cancel 48 hours in advance if you can not make your appointment.

Clinical Rates & Fees for Services:

• All Clinical rates & fees are inline with current Kansas City rates & fees

• Limited Sliding Scale slots are available based on financial need

• I am an Out-of-Network Provider on all Insurance Panels-Superbill with Diagnostic Coding electronically sent to Client for insurance reimbursement within 48 hours after service

• Work begins with an Intake with you. An Individual Intake=$250; Couple’s Intake=$350; Assessments: Mental Health, Bariatric, Immigration=$300 (Intake includes an indepth mental & physical healthy assessment to assure an accurate starting place)

• Ongoing Counseling Rates: Individual 50 Minute Session=$200; Couple’s 75 Minute Session=$300 or 60 Minute Session=$250; Coaching=or Consulting=$200/Hour; DOT SAP Services=$550

On Your first Appointment:

On your first appointment, I ask that you prepare for the session atleast 10 minutes before your appointment.  I require that you fill out your intake documents atleast 24 hours prior to your Intake by logging onto the Client Portal at: Schedule Your Appointment Online or you may forfeit your Intake spot. Please find a quiet space where you will not be interrupted during the session. Sessions while you are driving are prohibited, as it could result in distracted driving. If using your Cell phone to connect with SimplePractice (the video format), please know that you will be directed by email to download the App prior to the session. Meeting on a Computer, Laptop or iPad will result in a better video conferencing experience and is recommended.

Missed Appointments:  

If you schedule an Intake Appointment, all beginning paperwork must be completed 48 hours prior to the appointment to save your place on the schedule. Your card will be charged the day you schedule your session online to save your spot. Failure to cancel your Intake 48 hours in advance, will result in your card being charged for the appointment slot you have reserved.

If you must miss a scheduled appointment, please give text, email or call me at least 48 hours in advance. If the day of you must miss an appointment, your credit card will be charged, but you can text and reschedule that appointment with me if within the next few days. My time is valuable and I have other clients who may need that timeslot, if you cannot make your appointment.  All credit cards are run by 8:00 a.m. the morning of your scheduled session. I reserve the right to charge you for a full session if you do not give a 48 hour notice.  I also understand that there will be times when you have an true emergency & cannot attend your session.  I will gladly work with you in these cases, rescheduling you within 48 hours, of the scheduled time, if available on my schedule.

Confidentiality & Privacy Policy:

The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission.

Exceptions include:

• Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse, for which I am required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.

• If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s, I must notify the police and inform the intended victim.

• If a client intends to harm himself or herself, I will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in ensuring their safety. If they do not cooperate, I will take further measures without their permission that are provided to me by law in order to ensure their safety.
