On Your first Appointment:
On your first appointment, we ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment. We hope you have already filled out your intake documents; (Intake form & Contract and Credit Card Guarantee ) but if not, please let us know and you can do so while you wait. Please do not bring children, other than those scheduled for an appointment. Our office waiting area is limited and reserved for clients. Please make arrangements for a sitter to care for your other children.
If you must miss a scheduled appointment, please give our office at least 24 hours notice. Our time is valuable and we have other clients who may need that timeslot, if you cannot make your appointment. We reserve the right to charge you for a full session if you do not give a 24 hour notice. We also understand that there will be times when you have an emergency & cannot give notice. We will gladly work with you in these cases, rescheduling you within 48 hours.
If you call after hours to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please call and leave a message at 913-815-0559.

The law protects the relationship between a client and a psychotherapist, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission.
Suspected child abuse or dependent adult or elder abuse, for which I am required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
If a client is threatening serious bodily harm to another person/s, I must notify the police and inform the intended victim.
If a client intends to harm himself or herself, I will make every effort to enlist their cooperation in ensuring their safety. If they do not cooperate, I will take further measures without their permission that are provided to me by law in order to ensure their safety.
